Fire and Smoke Damaged Bathroom

SERVPRO of Arlington Heights/Prospect Heights was called to a home after a hot water heater had a fire and caused damage to the bathroom of this home.  Our technicians were on site to assist with removing all the non salvageable items, and to removed all the fire damaged cabinets from the bathroom. The next thing they did was to begin the cleaning process. 

Because hot air rises, the highest concentration of smoke residue is commonly found directly above where a fire started usually on the ceiling above the point of origin. Nail heads in the ceiling and walls can also attract smoke particles, which appear as an outline of a ring around them.
