Sewage backup in Arlington Heights, IL

This basement, as you can see from the before picture, had quite of bit of sewage in it. The sewage had come up into the customer's slop sink as well as the surrounding cemented floor in their basement. The backup was caused by the malfunctioning of their septic tank and as a result sewage got onto half of their basement. It required some heavy cleaning and disinfecting of the floor and affected contents. Some items had to be tossed like clothing and rugs, these types of items are usually disposed of as we cannot guarantee 100% sanitization. The after picture was taken only a couple days after the incident.
